Hull: where a local Facebook group still brings in the bookings

In Hull, plenty of customers find a café on Princes Avenue, a barber on Hessle Road or a joiner in Cottingham through a Facebook page or a community group. This page shows how a small business can keep those posts going on schedule, answer Messenger and Instagram without living on the phone, and turn questions into bookings.

  • Posts to your Facebook page and the groups you manage, on one calendar
  • Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp in a single inbox
  • Bookings checked against real working hours

Free for 7 days, no credit card required

Where Hull customers look

The channels a Hull business usually juggles

Most small firms in the city use three or four of these at once. AYDUKE connects 9 platforms in one panel.

  • Facebook page and groups

Posts to your page and to Facebook groups, prepared once and scheduled on the same calendar.

  • Messenger

Questions about opening times, prices and parking, answered from the entries you write.

  • Instagram

Business or Creator accounts only; every post needs a photo or video. DMs land in the same inbox.

  • WhatsApp

Replies to customer messages. Posting to WhatsApp is not possible.

  • Google Business Profile

Scheduled posts about offers and events. Reviews and messages there are not handled.

A Messenger chat with a café on Princes Avenue

A made-up conversation, not a real customer.

Customer: Hiya, saw your post in the group. Can I book a table for six on Saturday for brunch?
Assistant: Hello. For six on Saturday there is space at 10:00 or 12:30. Which would suit you?
Customer: 10 please. One of us is in a wheelchair, is that alright?
Assistant: There is step-free access at the front door and a table on the ground floor. I have booked six at 10:00 on Saturday. A confirmation email will follow, with a link if plans change.
Customer: Lovely, ta.
Sample conversation. The assistant only answers from the information you give it.

The access answer came from an entry the owner wrote. If it had not been there, the assistant would have passed the question to staff instead of guessing.

Setting up a month of posts for a Hull salon

  1. Connect the accounts

Facebook, Instagram and your Google Business Profile through your own developer app with OAuth. The panel has a step-by-step guide for each platform.

  2. Pick the groups

Choose the Facebook groups you manage that should get your posts, such as a customer group or a local events group you run.

  3. Draft four weeks at once

Upload photos to the media library, write the posts and save the ones you are unsure about as drafts.

  4. Let the checks run

Character limits, media type and file size are checked before anything is scheduled, so a post that would fail on Instagram is caught first.

  5. Watch the report

Publishing reports show what went out on each platform and flag anything that did not.

Fish docks, ferries and a city that likes to do its own thing

Hull grew on the Humber estuary as a fishing and trading port. Ferries still sail overnight to Rotterdam, The Deep aquarium sits where the River Hull meets the estuary, and the Old Town keeps its cobbled lanes and pubs. The city even had its own telephone company, with cream phone boxes instead of red ones.

That independent streak shows in how people shop. Many residents trust a recommendation in a neighbourhood Facebook group more than an advert. A business that posts regularly, answers quickly and is easy to book tends to get mentioned.

From the cafés and salons around Princes Avenue and Newland Avenue to garages in Hessle, trades in Cottingham and beauty rooms in Beverley just up the road, the pattern repeats: small teams, busy days and messages that pile up in the evening.

What can be automated on each channel

Based on what the platforms allow. Public comment replies are a separate setting and are off by default.

The assistant can work in draft mode, where you approve each reply, or reply on its own. Messages are not processed by AI until you agree to it.

Hire someone to post, or keep the routine in-house?

AYDUKE is software, not a social media agency. Ideas and photos still come from you or the people you work with.

Running it yourself

  • Plan posts on a Sunday evening for the whole week
  • Let routine questions be answered from your entries
  • Step in when a message is handed over to you

Working with a freelancer

A Hull freelancer who looks after several local pages can connect them in one login, up to the plan’s account limit, and export reports as XLSX or CSV for each client. There are no separate client workspaces. The reseller programme at /bayilik.php is free to join and pays commission while referred businesses pay.

Group rules still apply: only post to groups where you are allowed to, and follow each group’s rules on adverts. AYDUKE publishes what you schedule; it does not decide where promotion is welcome. It has no office in Hull and is run by a UK-registered company.

Frequently asked questions

Can it post into community groups I do not run?

Group posting depends on the access Facebook gives your account. Use it for groups you manage or where posting is allowed, and respect each group’s rules.

Will customers get a text reminder?

Not in the UK at the moment. They get confirmation and reminder emails with a link to view or cancel. You get new bookings by text and email.

Does the assistant reply to comments on my posts?

Only if you switch that mode on. Comment replies are off by default and run separately from private messages.

What happens when AI credits run out?

The system keeps going. Greetings and questions covered by your entries are still answered, and other messages come to you. A short reply uses about one credit, a long one three or four.

How do I pay?

By card through Stripe, where card details never reach AYDUKE’s servers, or by bank transfer. See the packages for what each plan includes.
