Channel by channel: where Long Beach customers reach you

Customers here come through several doors: a DM after a walk down Second Street, a Google search from a cruise passenger, a Messenger note from a port worker coming off shift. This page takes each channel in turn and says what AYDUKE does there, what it does not, and what is worth posting.

  • A channel table with the honest limits included
  • Post ideas tied to the waterfront calendar
  • Where agencies and freelancers fit in

The channels

Seven channels and what AYDUKE does on each

Not every channel works the same way in AYDUKE. Some publish and reply, some only publish, one only takes messages.

Replies on X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube stay with you. AYDUKE publishes there but does not answer.

Start with two channels, not seven. For most shops near the water that means Instagram for what you do and Google Business Profile for when you are open. Add Facebook groups if your customers live close by, and put the chat link everywhere.

Waterfront trades and the channel that carries them

  • Harbor cruises

Instagram and the Google profile carry the view. The assistant answers departure point, duration and what to bring, and seats per departure are set as capacity. More: boat tour operators.

  • Restaurants

Table reservations in chat with capacity per time slot, on Grand Prix weekend and ordinary Tuesdays alike. More: restaurants.

  • Tattoo shops

Along Retro Row, Instagram is the portfolio. Consultations book in chat; deposits stay in your own payment channel. More: tattoo shops.

  • Yoga studios

Class capacity plus early and late sessions for people on port shifts. More: yoga studios.

  • Vacation rentals

Guests ask about parking, beach access and check-in. Answers come from your house rules, and anything unusual goes to you. More: vacation rentals.

  • Event venues

Tours for couples and planners, with date and guest count asked in the booking form. More: event venues.

An Instagram DM to a Belmont Shore brunch spot

An example exchange, not a real customer. The open tables come from the reservation calendar.

Customer: Hi, table for 5 on Sunday around 11? We get back from Catalina the night before.
Assistant: Hi. Sunday has a table for 5 at 10:45 or 11:30. Which one suits you?
Customer: 11:30. Is there room for a stroller?
Assistant: Yes, the patio tables have room for a stroller. You are reserved for 11:30, party of 5. A confirmation email with a link to view or cancel is on its way.
Customer: Great. Any drink specials that day?
Assistant: I do not have this week's specials in my information, so I am passing your question to the team. They will reply right here.
Sample conversation. The assistant only answers from the information you give it.

The restaurant got an SMS and an email for the reservation, and the specials question landed in the unified inbox for a person to answer.

Long Beach social media agency or in-house routine: where each fits

AYDUKE is software, not an agency. An agency brings ideas, shoots and campaign plans. The daily channel work in the table above is something you can run yourself, with or without one.

An agency is a good fit for

  • A rebrand or a new location opening
  • Photo and video shoots on the water
  • Paid campaigns around race weekend or the holidays

AYDUKE covers

  • Posting to every connected channel on one schedule
  • DM, Messenger and comment replies from your records
  • Bookings and table reservations from your real calendar
  • Publishing reports for 7, 30 or 90 days or 12 months

Running client channels for shops along the coast

If you manage accounts for other businesses, AYDUKE is a working tool, and the channel rules above apply to every client.

  • Connect each client's accounts within your plan's account limit and plan everything in one calendar.
  • The platform check catches a caption that is too long for X or a video TikTok would refuse before it reaches the queue.
  • Export publishing reports as XLSX or CSV and add your own notes before you send them.
  • The reseller program is free to join; you earn a commission while businesses you referred keep paying.

Getting the channels connected

  1. Meta first

Your Facebook page and Instagram Business account connect through your own Meta developer app over OAuth. A step-by-step guide in the panel covers each screen.

  2. Then Google and video

Add Google Business Profile for scheduled posts, and TikTok or YouTube if you publish video.

  3. Teach the assistant

Enter your website address. Up to 500 pages are read and refreshed weekly, and Shopify or WooCommerce catalogs are supported. Then add your own notes on parking and directions.

  4. Open the doors

Add the website chatbot with one line of code and print the chat link QR code on menus, table tents and receipts.

Frequently asked questions

Does AYDUKE have staff in Long Beach?

No. AYDUKE is online software without a local office or team. Each setup step has a guide in the panel, and you can reach us through the contact page.

Cruise passengers message us early in the morning before we open. What do they get?

You set working hours and the after-hours behavior. The assistant can answer from your records and offer a booking time, or tell them the team replies once you open.

Can the assistant reply to TikTok comments on our harbor videos?

No. TikTok, YouTube, X and LinkedIn are publishing only. Replies work on Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Telegram, and comments on Facebook, Instagram and Telegram.

We run charters from the marina. Can people pay inside the chat?

No. The chat can hold a seat on a departure with set capacity and share your own payment instructions from your records. Payments and orders stay in your own channel.

Do guests get a text reminder?

In the US, guests receive confirmation and reminder emails with a link to view or cancel. Customer texts are not available here. You get an SMS and email for every new booking.
