Hire a Dallas social media agency or run it in-house? A fair comparison

The city has a deep bench of agencies, and plenty of local businesses pay one for work that is part creative and part routine. This page separates the two, shows what a tool like AYDUKE takes over, and where an agency still earns its place.

  • AYDUKE is software, with no account manager or content team behind it
  • Scheduling, replies and bookings can move in-house one piece at a time
  • Agencies can use it too, for several clients in one panel

Agency vs in-house

Two ways to run your accounts

To be clear from the start: AYDUKE is software, not an agency. There is no account manager and no content team behind it. What follows compares hiring an agency with running the routine yourself in a social media management tool, plus the middle ground many businesses land on.

With an agency

  • A team plans concepts, shoots and writes captions
  • You review and approve their work
  • DM replies depend on the scope you agreed
  • A monthly retainer covers a defined set of tasks

In-house with AYDUKE

  • You or a staff member plan and write in one calendar
  • Posts publish on time to every chosen account
  • The AI assistant replies from your information at any hour
  • Bookings land straight in your calendar

Neither is wrong. The real question is which parts need a creative team and which parts only need to happen on time.

Why the question comes up so often here

Dallas runs on offices and appointments. Corporate campuses, finance, real estate and a busy med spa and beauty salon scene in Uptown produce customers who book at lunch or after 6 p.m. and expect an answer the same evening.

Neighborhood businesses in Deep Ellum or Bishop Arts compete for attention with polished national brands. Many hire an agency to look the part, then find that the day-to-day work (posting on schedule, replying to the DM asking about Saturday) still lands on them.

A social media management tool does not replace the look. It removes the part that was never creative in the first place: the timing, the repetition, the late-night replies.

The channel mix is usually straightforward. Instagram carries the visual work and the DMs it brings, the Google profile catches people comparing options on the drive home, Facebook handles events and neighborhood groups, and LinkedIn suits firms selling to the corporate crowd. A few planned posts a week, set up on Monday, keep all of them current.

The Thursday-evening DM nobody had assigned

A sample conversation, not a real client. The med spa limited its assistant to scheduling questions, and the times come from the calendar.

Customer: Hi, anything Thursday after 6 for a facial?
Assistant: Hi, thanks for asking. Our signature facial takes 60 minutes. Thursday at 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. are open. Would one of those work?
Customer: 6:15. is it ok if I have sensitive skin?
Assistant: That is a question for our esthetician, so I will pass it to the team to answer you directly. Meanwhile I can hold Thursday at 6:15 p.m. for you; once you confirm, a confirmation email with a link to view or cancel goes out.
Customer: yes please hold it
Sample conversation. The assistant only answers from the information you give it.

The assistant was told not to discuss skin conditions or treatments, and "sensitive" is set as a handover keyword. Keep booking forms free of health questions; AYDUKE is not presented as a HIPAA-compliant service.

Signs the routine can come in-house

  • Much of what you pay for each month is scheduling and posting rather than new ideas.
  • DMs sit overnight because nobody really owns them.
  • Customers keep asking the same handful of questions: hours, parking, price range, cancellation.
  • You already shoot decent photos and short videos yourself.
  • You want bookings to come from Instagram and your site without a separate form.

Where the split tends to work well

  • Med spas

Agency for the brand look, AYDUKE for scheduling and booking questions, with no health details collected. More: med spas.

  • Beauty salons

Stylists with their own hours, services with a length and buffer, bookings from the Instagram DM. More: beauty salons.

  • Realtors

Listing posts on a schedule and showing requests turned into calendar slots. More: realtors.

  • Car dealerships

Test drive slots booked in the chat; financing questions handed to your team. More: car dealerships.

  • Agencies themselves

Local agencies use AYDUKE for several clients in one panel within the plan limit, one calendar and XLSX or CSV reports. The reseller program is free and pays commission while referred businesses keep paying. More: digital marketing agencies.

Bringing the routine in-house, one piece at a time

  1. Start with replies

Connect Instagram and your Facebook page through your own developer app, following the guide for each. Give consent for AI processing and begin in draft mode.

  2. Teach it your business

Let the assistant read your verified website: up to 500 pages, refreshed weekly, including a Shopify or WooCommerce catalog. What you type in by hand overrides the site.

  3. Add booking

Set up services with length, buffer and price, and staff with their own hours. Customers get confirmation and reminder emails; you get new-booking alerts by SMS and email.

  4. Then move scheduling

Ask your agency to deliver finished posts and media, and schedule them yourself, or let them schedule from their own AYDUKE panel.

  5. Review after a month

Open the 30-day publishing report and the chat analysis, then decide what else to keep in-house.

Run the in-house side for a while

The demo account is ready at sign-up, no credit card needed, with every platform and AI credits included. Keep your agency as it is and test the routine side next to it.

Frequently asked questions

Can my Dallas agency and I both work in AYDUKE?

Yes. An agency can connect your accounts in its own panel within its plan account limit, or you run your own account and they send finished posts. Agree who schedules and who answers so nothing goes out twice.

Our dealership gets financing questions in the chat. Can the assistant answer them?

Only with general information you wrote yourself. Keep credit decisions and approvals out of the chat, and set words like "financing" or "credit" as handover keywords so your team replies.

Will our customers get text message reminders?

Not in the US. Customers receive a confirmation email and a reminder email with a link to view or cancel. Texts to customers currently go only to Turkish numbers; you still get new-booking alerts by SMS and email.

What do the reports actually show?

Publishing results: success rate, per-platform charts, comparison with the previous period and below-threshold alerts, exported as XLSX or CSV. Chat analysis sorts messages, comments and web chats by category, sentiment, urgency and topic.

Does AYDUKE have an office in the Dallas area?

No. AYDUKE is remote software. You set it up in the panel with step-by-step guides, and the contact page is there if you need us.
